Our Liver and Kidney function test includes:

Kidney Function (UEC):

Measures urea, creatinine and eGFR to assess how well your kidneys filter waste from your blood.

Sodium, Potassium, Chloride, Bicarbonate, Urea, Creatinine, eGFR.

Liver function (LFT):

Checks enzymes and proteinsthat may indicate liver inflammation or impaired liver function.

Total Protein, Albumin, Alkaline Phosphatase, Total Bilirubin, Gamma GT, AST, ALT, Globulin.

Additional Biochemistry:

Calcium, Corrected Calcium, Phosphate, Uric Acid, Magnesium, Creatine Kinase

Magnesium checks an important mineral involved in muscle, nerve and heart function.

Lipid Studies:

Measures total cholesterol, HDL, LDL and triglycerides to help assess cardiovascular risk.

Cholesterol, HDL/LDL, Non-HDL Cholesterol, Triglycerides, LDL/HDL Ratio, Chol/HDL Ratio

Glucose:

Elevated fasting glucose levels may mean diabetes or pre-diabetes.

hsCRP:

The hs-CRP test accurately detects lower levels of the protein than the standard CRP test and is used to evaluate individuals for risk of cardiovascular disease. The CRP test is a relatively blunt tool for 'inflammation'. It shows 'general' inflammation but not from where. It does not provide specific information on cause or location. The 'risk ratio' also depends on a person being in a normal state of health, Any short-term inflammation may give a false risk ratio report.
