The AI output is a dynamic automated summary designed to assist in understanding complex medical terminology and reference ranges. It is not a clinical diagnostic tool, a medical opinion, or a substitute for professional healthcare assessment.
2. No Doctor-Patient
Relationship
Interacting with or relying on AI-generated summaries provided by iMedical does not create a doctor-patient, practitioner-patient, or clinical relationship between you and iMedical, its directors, employees, or technological partners.
3. Always Consult a
Qualified Healthcare Professional
Pathology results must
always be interpreted by a registered Australian medical practitioner (such as
your General Practitioner or specialist) who can contextualize your results
against your complete medical history, physical examination, medications, and
clinical symptoms.
4. Limitations &
Potential Errors of AI
AI algorithms generate responses based on pattern recognition and probabilistic models. While iMedical strives to implement high technical standards, AI outputs may contain inaccuracies, omissions, or "hallucinations" (erroneous statements). iMedical makes no representations, warranties, or guarantees, express or implied that the AI-generated information is 100% accurate, complete, up-to-date, or error-free.
5. Non-Interference
with Approved Medical Devices (TGA Compliance)
The AI tool provided by iMedical is TGA compliant but not designed to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition. It does not modify, override, or replace the primary raw diagnostic data and official reference intervals provided in your certified pathology report.
6. Limitation of
Liability
To the maximum extent permitted under Australian Consumer Law and applicable Commonwealth and State legislation, iMedical expressly disclaims all liability for any loss, damage, injury, or adverse medical outcomes resulting directly or indirectly from your reliance on, or misuse of, AI-generated content.
7. Australian Privacy
& Data Governance Compliance
iMedical complies with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) regarding sensitive health data. AI interactions are processed strictly under secure, privacy-compliant frameworks. Patient data submitted for automated summarization is never used to train public or third-party artificial intelligence models
8. Automated
De-Identification & Privacy Protection
iMedical prioritizes
patient privacy and strictly adheres to the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and
Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). Prior to processing, our system
automatically redacts and removes all Personally Identifiable Information (PII)
including your name, contact details, day and month of birth, street address before
any data is transmitted to or analysed by the AI. Only year of birth, sex and
first name is retained due to results being age and sex dependant. The AI
processes only de-identified clinical markers and reference ranges.
Furthermore, your data is never retained, sold, or used to train public or
third-party artificial intelligence models.
